If you’re registered for the 2022 OEFFA Conference, it’s time to start exploring all that OEFFA’s Socio mobile and web app has to offer! Here’s a basic guide to help you learn about the app’s features and make the most of your conference experience:

SCHEDULE

The schedule is your one-stop-spot for watching video streams and video recordings of keynote sessions, Food and Farm School classes, workshops, and other events. Once added, recordings will be available until March 31. To access a recorded session, click on its name in the schedule and then simply tap “View Recording.” Your event should open in a new Zoom window. Use the password in the session’s description to gain access.

After each workshop, please remember to fill out an evaluation. Evaluation links can be found in the schedule, and will be shared in the chat in each session. The surveys only take a minute or so to complete, and the information is important to OEFFA for grant reports and planning future events.

EXHIBIT HALL

Visiting exhibitors is easier than ever! Just click on the online trade show to search vendors, request information, download handouts, message and network with representatives, and more. Use the interactive trade show map in the Maps section to find the location of all vendors in the trade show and visit them in person February 18-19.

MAPS

Navigating the conference just got easier! Visit the maps section to find interactive maps of the Dayton Convention Center and exhibit hall. When you click on a blue section within the facility map, you’ll be able to see a complete list of events happening in that location. Or, click on the location of a session in the schedule to be taken to the spot on the map where the event will take place. The exhibit hall map includes the locations for all vendors in the trade show.

SPEAKERS

When you click on speakers, you’ll find a list of all workshop speakers, complete with links to their workshops, biographies and photos, and contact information for networking.

ATTENDEES

Add others to your personal network (and stay in touch through your Connections tab) and send them private messages (also accessible in your private Messages tab). Learn more about networking best practices, using the shake to connect feature, exporting your new contacts to your phone, and requesting a meet up with another attendee.

HELP DESK

If our frequently asked questions, conference app guide, and conference Zoom guide pages don’t answer your questions, you can click on this section to to get help from OEFFA staff.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Throughout the live conference, attendees receive push notifications with reminders about upcoming sessions and other updates. You can find all of these announcements archived in this section of the app.

SHOP

This section of the app includes links to OEFFA merchandise, like t-shirts, sweatshirts, tank tops, leggings, polo shirts, baseball caps, and more from CLOZTALK.

It also includes a link to aluminum signs and organic logo stickers from OEFFA Certification, as well as OEFFA’s AmazonSmile information so you can support us when you shop online.

The OEFFA Bookstore allows you to purchase great farm and food-related titles online while supporting OEFFA.

DISCUSSION WALLS

The app’s Discussion Wall is like private social media feed exclusively for OEFFA conference attendees! This public wall is your place to engage in discussion about sustainable food and farming and your conference experience. There’s also a Buy, Sell, Trade, Free message board where you can share information and photos about food and farm items you want to buy, sell, trade, or give away.

QUEST 4 POINTS GAME

Compete with other attendees to see who can earn the most points! Enter passcodes to earn points, climb the leaderboard, and you can literally earn bread–and cookies, and other baked good deliciousness! Five winners will get a $100 certificate to the Eban’s Bakehouse online store!

FILTERING

Use the funnel icon in the upper right corner of your app to filter attendees by categories, filter exhibitors and sponsors by type, or filter your schedule by track.

SEARCHING

The search function will allow you to find exactly what you need right when you need it! When you use the search icon, Socio will check all of the app’s content for your search term. When you need to come back, simply select from your recent search history.
